Safeguarding All God's Family

Since 2004, the Archdiocese of Milwaukee has put in place certain steps to enhance the safety of our children, youth, and our programs.

Before any adult can become involved with a Parish/School event for children or youth, the Archdiocese of Milwaukee requires that he/she attend a Safeguarding All God’s Family training session and have a criminal background check.

All adults working with children or youth are required to attend the Safe Environment Education session. This is a one-time session that helps adults identify ways to protect children and youth from those who would seek to harm them. And to structure programs and environments in such a way as to make them safe for the children we serve.

You will need to read the Code of Ethical Standards for Church Workers and the Mandatory Reporting Responsibilities for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. In addition, you will need to give your permission for us to have a Criminal Background Check run on you.

Once these three things are completed and in our files, you are ready to work with the children. This is the process that the Archdiocese of Milwaukee has established to do the best we can to try to make sure that all the children of our Parish are safe and secure in our programs and events.

To complete the three steps you will need to do the following:

Visit the Milwaukee Archdiocese Safeguarding All God's Family site. Here you will find a schedule of upcoming Safe Environment Education Session and links to register to attend.

Thank you for your interest in working with the children of the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Faith Community.  If you still have questions, please contact the Parish Office.
